MIFF - Melbourne International Film Festival
Madame Yum worked with Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) to produce a series of interviews with people who contributed to the Festival over its now 60+ years.
From Directors to filmmakers, volunteers to producers; it takes a lot of people, with a lot of passion to put the festival together. Considered a cultural icon MIFF is one of the oldest film festivals in the world, and despite some fairly lean times, has always managed to put together fabulous programs, and hold its strong audience.
In fact the two best attendance figures came at times when it had its greatest competition; the early 60s when TV was introduced, and the emergence of the internet in the 90s. Yum Studio wanted to contribute to the growing history of this fabulous event, in the hope that the people who contributed so much to its growth were acknowledged, their stories and recollections remembered.
